General information, not medical advice

  • longevity.com.au is a directory. It does not provide medical advice, diagnose conditions or recommend any provider, test or service.
  • Business descriptions are the business's own wording, edited to remove claims that advertising law does not permit. They have not been verified.
  • Talk to a registered health practitioner about whether a test or service suits you. Check a practitioner's registration on the Ahpra register.

Listings are not checked or endorsed

A listing does not mean we have checked a business’s qualifications, registration, safety record, premises, equipment or results. Practitioner names and roles are shown as the business lists them unless marked as checked against the Ahpra register. The titles “specialist” and “surgeon” are shown only where the register confirms them.

The site does not publish reviews, ratings or testimonials. Results are not ordered by quality or payment.

Prices are published figures, not quotes

Prices are figures published on business websites on the date shown. They may exclude consultation and other fees and may have changed. Medicare rebates apply only where a Medicare item and its criteria are met. Confirm the total cost with the business.

Services involving prescription medicines are not listed

Services that involve prescription-only, controlled or unapproved medicines, or biologicals, are not used as categories, filters or page names, and their prices are not shown. A business that also offers such services can still appear under another category it offers.

Read the notices on service pages

Some service pages carry notices drawn from Australian regulators and medical colleges, for example on screening tests for people without symptoms and on Medicare eligibility. Each notice links to its source.

Check the practitioner

Doctors, nurses, physiotherapists, chiropractors, psychologists and other registered health practitioners appear on the Ahpra register of practitioners, which shows registration type, status and any conditions.

Some practitioners listed here, such as naturopaths, nutritionists and exercise physiologists, are not registered with Ahpra and will not appear on the register. Ask them what qualification and professional membership they hold.

Medicines and devices

Search the Australian Register of Therapeutic Goods to check whether a medicine or device is approved for supply in Australia. Report a suspected side effect or device problem to the Therapeutic Goods Administration (device reports 1800 809 361).

If something goes wrong

If someone’s health or safety is at immediate risk, call 000 or go to the nearest hospital emergency department.

Raise a concern about a registered practitioner with Ahpra (1300 419 495). Each state and territory has a health complaints body that handles complaints about health services, including providers Ahpra does not cover:
